Industrial and Systems Engineering Research

About Our Research

Faculty in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering are not only testing theoretical principles – they’re developing models and processes for real companies, like GE. As a student at the Russ College, you’ll benefit from their real-world perspective and current knowledge as you work alongside them in class and on research projects.

Our Research Units

  •

Center for Advanced Systems and Transportation Logistics Engineering

The Center for Advanced Systems and Transportation Logistics Engineering (CASTLE) is dedicated to solving fundamental problems concerning the integration of engineering design software and the estimation of costs to improve and speed the design and manufacture of new products, and to disseminating these results.

  •

    Human Factors and Ergonomics Lab

Human Factors and Ergonomics is the discipline of designing products and systems to match the abilities of people in order to improve productivity, safety, performance, and user satisfaction. The Human Factors and Ergonomics Laboratory studies a range of human factors that affect workplace outcomes.

ISE Labs

The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering is found on the second floor of the Stocker Engineering and Technology Center.
